Precious Moments
John Hill, IS Manager
PRECIOUS
MOMENTS is the original-and most enduring- collection of social
expression and inspirational images in America. With its teardrop-eyed
children and distinctive color palette, PRECIOUS MOMENTS offers
consumers a tangible way to commemorate life's important milestones
and daily triumphs including marriage, the birth of a child, or
a new friendship. Dominating the $21 billion gift and collectibles
market, PRECIOUS MOMENTS has been the #1 selling brand in this category
for the past 15 years.
Back
in 1997, Precious Moments made the business decision to update their
accounting system and chose Great Plains Business Solutions as their
provider of choice. They were referred to a VAR for installation
of the Great Plains system and to perform a data conversion from
NxTrend. Unfortunately, this VAR's implementation failed when the
system crashed and they were unable to bring it back.
Accountant's
Edge came to the rescue, stabilized their system, and executed a
successful implementation. The IS Manager in charge of the project,
John Hill, was "extremely impressed" with the ability of Accountant's
Edge to solve complex problems in a short period of time and develop
elegant solutions for his company's accounting needs. "Accountant's
Edge brings a blend of CPA knowledge and technology experience to
the table, enabling them to troubleshoot and solve problems quickly
and save me a great deal of time and money."
Since
this first solution, Precious Moments has relied on Accountants
Edge for ongoing consulting services to help grow and expand their
accounting functionality. These services include installing additional
modules to provide more efficiency and automation, enhancing their
network infrastructure, and establishing Citrix remote communications
to provide significant cost savings over their previous private
line connections.
John
Hill summarizes: "I very much appreciate their depth of knowledge,
their ability to manage complex issues, and their consultative approach
to solving problems."
